Jenny Thornton-Smith - Senior Physiotherapist, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy; MSc Orthopaedic Manual Therapy; MSCP


Qualified in 1973, at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Completed post basic one year course in 1978, in spinal & peripheral joint mobilisation. In 2003, completed Masters Degree, specialising in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, from Pretoria University in South Africa. Worked in public and private hospital sector in South Africa after qualifying before an 18 month period in New Zealand as Section Head ( Outpatient Department) of Christchurch Public Hospital.)
From 1982 until the end of 2005, owner of Private Practice in Johannesburg. Have been involved at various stages, in part time clinical tutoring at undergraduate level, and lecturer on the post basic spinal and peripheral joint mobilisation courses.
Regular attendee at International Congresses and Practical Course, work since 1996.


Rebecca Lane BSc (Hons) MCSP


Completed her degree at the University of East Anglia. Since qualifying has worked in the NHS and in the private sector before starting HALSTEAD PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC in 2000 and HAVERHILL PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC in 2006.
Has completed a postgraduate course in Sports Physiotherapy as well as regular physiotherapy courses on the latest Standards and techniques. Prior to starting the clinic Rebecca worked as a physiotherapist to the National Volleyball squad.


Juliet O'Brien


Juliet O'Brien graduated from Colchester Institute with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. She then worked on a voluntary basis on the stroke unit at Colchester General hospital for four months prior to securing a post in their physiotherapy department.

Juliet has a wide range of experience including elderly care, community rehabilitation, intensive care and respiratory, amputee rehabilitation and musculosketal physiotherapy which she has chosen as her specialist area.

Juliet is currently studying a MSc/PG dip in veterinary physiotherapy and hopes to combine this with her human clients in the future. She continues to update her human knowledge and skills to ensure the best possible treatments for her patients.
